The Third Voice

Three strong female voices, mainly unaccompanied, that weave, blend and serenade with new and pre-loved songs that both challenge and soothe.

The Third Voice combines Gemma Turner, Clarita Derwent and Christina Mimmocchi. Each has followed various musical paths including songwriting, a cappella singing, fronting bands and choirs and confronting diverse musical settings.

They share a love of voices in harmony and music for the body as well as the mind which they share through performances and workshops. To enhance their unique sound, they add guitar, concertina, cello and percussion to their vocal harmonies.

A lifetime ago they were members of the a cappella ensemble Blindman’s Holiday, although at different times. The shared experience of singing musical styles from around the world, and of touring together extensively, has surely influenced their current musical offerings.

Recent gigs include: National Folk Festival, The Salons 2022 and 2023, Loaded Dog Folk Club, Wylie's Baths' Local Vocal program, Gasoline Pony, St. Anmoré Festival, Wild Fire Club and various Local Council performances.
